I like the site and sent you some humor. I hear you're over the river and through the woods to your brother's house (in WA) for Thanksgiving. Have a nice time and maybe when you and/or your Dad are up this way again, we can get together for dinner. (We'll be in England for Thanksgiving--lucky us!) Sue.

Greatest fun at Uncle Joe Nolan's for the last weekend in August shindig. Everyone who is anyone was there. (Typical sardonic Irish Nolan humour) John & Dick Nolan from Chicago-land area were there. Jill and Chris Nolan all grown up and adultish were there. Mary Nolan bride-to-be was there. And ofcourse the newly arrived Kyle Nolan was there with Mom & Dad Bill and Lori Nolan. And last but certainly not least the famous Ed Nolan, Master of Ceremonies was there for hiking and rock climbing leadership. I don't know if you call it leadership - more like pressure-ship. Thank you Uncle Joe for a lively, fun, and adventurous weekend. SEE YOU ALL AT THE WEDDING!!!

Great site, guys! Now we got to see him with his eyes open. What a cute baby! It was a pleasure seeing you again today and sharing stories about our experiences. Kyle's pictures bring some many memories of our own experiences during the first few weeks; there are so many things we can relate to. Stay cool and we hope to see you again someday.

Wow who are you ? Dear Mr. Mrs. or Ms. Nolan, Iím delighted I came across your email address on the web. I am currently working on a history of the Nolan clan and what a marvellous history this is. Did you know that this famous Irish clan came to Ireland as part of the Milesian people, who had moved from the East across Europe and into Spain three thousand years before Christ was born? They invaded Ireland sometime after that. The Nolan clan eventually settled in what is now Co. Carlow in Ireland where they were the kings of that area. I have mapped exactly the lands that were owned by the Nolans in 1603. After that time they lost their lands to English grantees, including the Duke of Ormonde but quite amazingly some of their descendants still occupy much of the land in that area today. Very many more of course were forced to emigrate. Fr. John Nolan began a history of this great clan in the 1920s but it was incomplete at the time of his death and was never published. I have it now and the Clan Nolan have engaged me to publish and finish this fine work. The hardworking committee are having severe difficulty in raising the cost of publishing the work so if you would like to contribute in some way to this publication your name will be included in the list of subscribers in the finished work which will be launched at the Nolan Clan gathering which takes place next year in July in Co. Carlow (where you would be more than welcome - the committee have planned some great festivities). If you wish to contact me do so at ifn@indigo.ie My name is Art Kavanagh and I am a local historian.

Hey out there Nolan folk! I doubt that i am related to any of you, but anythings possible. My great great grandfather was Timmy Nolan who supposedly immigrated to America from Ireland long long ago. He (much like all the other middle aged men at that time) resembled Uncle Sam and Colonel Sanders, but that's pretty much all i know about him. Currently my father(Tim Crowner), and my second cousin (Matt Shopene) co-own an Irish style pub named Timmy Nolan's in North Hollywood, CA, USA. I wait tables there almost every nite. If any of you Nolans know anything about Timmy Nolan, please get back to me...we may be related!!! thank you for your time----Jennifer Crowner

Sorry that I missed out on the Great Mary Nolan 4th of July! I'm kind of new to the fact that there are others of the Clan Nolan out there. I'm now in communication with Ed & Joe concerning a Nolan history that I've come across that details some of the emmigration of the early (1823) Nolans from the old sod. Also, I notice that some of you slide down mountains on slim sticks. I am soon (August 98) moving to Dillon, CO. I will be working full-time at Breckenridge this season (I'm a fulltime ski instructor in the winter, sell software & PC's in the summer). Come over & make some turns. It would be great to have a Nolan group on the mountain.
